Rumble Jar: Half gallon size (64oz), filter-only (no Mason jar included)

I have been using the Toddy cold brew system for years, but wanted to try something new. The rumble jar came up in my search and it seemed like it would be easier to use, clean and store. My biggest gripe with the Toddy is how much space it takes up in my small kitchen and that I have to repurchase filters. I like that the rumble jar is made of steel with a silicone cap and I'm super happy with how the coffee tastes. Would highly recommend.

I had a half gallon jar sitting around and had my filter in time to go on a hot springs getaway. I made coffee at the camp site and loved it. So far it's been to Middletown, CA and Mt. Lassen. I don't hear the rumble when I invert the jar, but the brew process is working as expected.

Works well, better that the wire mesh filter this replaces. Cleans easier, less fine sediment in the coffee compared to the wire mesh filter.

Only used these two one time so far they're still in one piece. I've had 6 others and the rim came apart from the filter each time. I was told the problem has been resolved so I bought 2 more. Hoping they stay in one piece this time.

I wish I’d known that it doesn’t make concentrate. I go through a half gallon jar in 2.5 days. But it’s also super easy to use and make the coffee. So I like that.

I think I still prefer the smoothness of the Toddy cold brew system, but this is also quite good

I've used my Rumble Jar a handful times, I like it. Works well and prefer it over my other cold brew set up, really like how it's self contained. It seems a little delicate, so time will tell on how long it lasts but happy with my purchase.

Works as described. Quality is evident and makes making cold brew coffee easy. Cleanup is relatively simple especially if you have a bottle brush to clean the entire length of the filter. Only real issue I have is filling the filter is a bit tedious but scooping the coffee grounds and filling the filter is fine. Overall I would recommend the Rumble Jar.

Love it! This is my second (one of each size) and I'm quite happy with it. I'd seen it used by CitySteading (youtube brewers) for a while and finally got one. Amazing for racking, and the smaller size fits perfectly in a quart mason jar (being used for a Rose Petal infusion right now). This has 100% made its way into my infusions and brewing equipment and I'm ecstatic about it.

The one star review is for design, not quality. We have used an Altura filter and a Mason Jar Lifestyles filter for many years, alternating every two days. They both work similarly and superbly. I bought the Rumble Jar filter largely based on its hype. It is well made, but no better than the two we have. But the concept and design are unfortunate. What was not clear from the promotion is that it is small and fits inside the jar, rather than having a large diameter with a lip that fits the neck of the jar. That makes it fussy, tedious and messy to fill, insert, retrieve and open. I wish Rumble jar would apply its high-quality standards to making a clone of the proven Altura design. Unfortunately, Altura no longer sells the large size filter we have. But we will continue to use it while the sparkling new Rumble Jar filter gathers dust in our cupboard until we eventually throw it away.

Great product for price. No one else offers a such an effective product at an affordable price.

Works great! Changed the game for me. Make it at night and I’ve got cold brew for the week the next morning that doesn’t taste like store bought garbage. Would recommend to anyone for sure.

I have a similar device with a much coarser screen. It does an acceptable job, but leaves a fair amount of sludge from fines in the bottom of the jar. This product does a much better job with the fine screens. It's also much easier to clean after using, and the coffee grinds don't stick hardly at all like they do with a coarser screen.

Solid construction, works exactly as described, easy to clean. I have used for both cold brew cacao and coffee with great success.

I have been buying premade cold brew for a while. Decided to try it for myself. I like simple and easy to use easy to clean. This is it! Granted I still need to perfect my personal recipe abut this thing delivers on its promise. Definitely would buy again. Might have to give as a gift.

This thing is fantastic! I’m mo barista or coffee connoisseur. I was looking for an easy way to make ice coffee/cold brew at home. I used to brew hot coffee and let it cool before putting it in the fridge. If I didn’t do that I was spending a small fortune at Dunkin or Starbucks for them to just mess up my coffee half the time. Now I have two mason jars that I rotate through daily and have cold brew always in my fridge ready to drink! The coffee is better and it saves me considerable money. The Rumble Jar is well worth it!

I tried the reusable filter bag and it was too messy. The Rumble filter is perfect and as clean as you can get! Makes making ice coffee so easy!

I bought a 2 pack for half gallon mason jars. They fit perfectly into Ball half gallon jars (which are not included). I've been using them everyday since I got them; one steeping regular coffee and one steeping a flavored coffee. They work exactly as I'd hoped. I haven't felt the need to try the included cotton bag for extra filtering since all the sediment collects at the bottom of the jar and is easy to avoid pouring, and no grounds make it through the metal. Highly recommend.

I began to dislike hot coffee so needed a way to brew cold coffee easily and quickly. Rumble jar is the perfect solution. Takes 2 minutes to get it brewing and it is ready the next day. Clean up is easy. Worth every penny!
